During my work as a freelance UX/UI designer at VCSmart, a company specializing in creating customized promotional products for businesses, I encountered several challenges while redesigning the entire platform's user interface. The existing UI presented a number of issues, including broken user flows, non-functional pop-ups, a high number of errors, and an overall confusing user experience.

To address these challenges, I embarked on a thorough evaluation of the platform. Through comprehensive user research, including interviews and usability testing, I gathered insights into the pain points and frustrations users were experiencing. This process allowed me to pinpoint specific areas where the UI was not meeting users' expectations and requirements.

Firstly, I conducted a complete restructuring of the user flows, ensuring a logical and intuitive path for users to navigate through the platform. By simplifying the steps required to complete various tasks and removing unnecessary complexities, I created a smooth and efficient user experience.


I addressed the issue of non-functional pop-ups by re-evaluating their purpose and functionality. Through careful analysis, I identified essential pop-ups and revised their behavior to provide meaningful interactions and clear calls to action. This allowed users to interact with platform features confidently and without confusion.

Dealing with the abundance of errors and ensuring a seamless user interface was a top priority. I conducted extensive debugging tests to identify and resolve software issues that hindered the user experience. Working closely with developers, I implemented necessary fixes and improvements to eliminate errors, resulting in a more stable and reliable platform.


Regarding the confusing user interface, I focused on consistency, clarity, and visual hierarchy. I revamped the design system by establishing standardized UI components, typography, and color schemes that aligned with VCSmart's brand identity. This cohesive and consistent visual language improved usability and provided users with a sense of familiarity and comfort during their interactions with the platform.

impact on the company's financial outcomes. With a more intuitive and efficient platform, VCSmart saw an increase in customer satisfaction, resulting in higher customer retention and repeat business. Additionally, optimized user flows and improved functionality reduced user frustration and support requests, saving time and resources for the company.
